Unusual Connections: Three couples from two continents and three different countries all with the same vision, “Giving a Hand to make a difference.”
What started off as an invitation for an African dinner led to the birthing of an idea, “What about starting a Microfinance Organization in Mozambique? It all started in White River, South Africa when two couples met over dinner after briefly being introduced to each by a friend of both couples, Evie Cider. Elizabeth & Jan Eric Jansson on their visit to South Africa in 2018 met Rosemary & William Chauke.
Rosemary & William Chauke, Co-founders of Pfuna Rixaka Mozambique are passionate about empowerment of women.
Rosemary and William worked in the Micro finance for years and are experienced in this field. When the Lord laid a burden in Janne and Elizabeth Janson’s hearts, they then asked the couple to venture into the unknown and get started. The couple came up with the Tsonga name "Pfuna Rixaka which means Help a nation
